Center Ravine

Most of the action today took place just to the left of the center of the ravine. You'll notice no snow on the headwall itself. A handful of skiers can be seen climbing near the top of the snow. The exposed rocks and shrubs located mid photo on the left is were Kevin Sullivan of Boston escaped near death. Kevins binding broke on his first turn and he slid out of control down the slope and cartwheeled 30 feet into the rocks.
